2024 XMAS SHOW CANCELLED
Besides my love for the shows, it is closely followed by helping others to get started. Next year, we are offering two-weekend deep-dive, hands-on workshops. You will leave with a starter controller and your first show configured in xLights. We cover all the topics needed for success: controllers, LED, cables, props, xLights, models, layouts, networking, and more. Contact me for more information.
Please follow these simple requests when visiting our shows:
If you would like to learn more about how we set up, run, and program the shows, drop us a message, and we can arrange a tour and help guide you into starting your own shows.
We have been doing holiday lights for many years, and five years ago, we began the journey into fully synchronized LED light shows.
Shows are sometimes presented as a playlist and other times we have an interactive feature where visitors may select songs.
One of many favorites from last year's Christmas lineup. The first time we used a drone to capture footage, I still needed more practice...
This video is not the house, rather it is how previewing sequences as they are created appear on the screen. The software used is called xLights and is open-source. It is complex because of all the many, many tools it has for the sequencer to work with. A new sequence from scratch takes 40, 80, or more hours to create and perfect.

Last year, the fine folks at KING 5 dropped by and highlighted our Christmas 2022 show.
Please reach us at if you cannot find an answer to your question.
No, is the short answer. Because of the narrow and one-way nature of our street, we ask people coming to view the light shows to park north or south of the house along 47th Ave SW and make the short walk to the house.
The music is delivered via outdoor speaks and low-power FM radio (99.5).
Yes, visitors may request songs using the on-site provided QR code. Just scan the QR code and pick your favorite songs. The jukebox stops accepting request at 8:50 PM.
Both the Christmas and Halloween shows are over 85,000+ pixels in total. A pixel is comprised of 3 LEDs, so the total LED count is over 255,000+. We use 9 controllers to power and manage all of those pixels. Bear in mind that each LED is individually controllable. Thanks to all the hardware, we can use software to make the lights dance to the music.
The LEDs are low voltage (12VDC) and consume less electricity than you would think. Running both shows typically only adds $150 to our electric bill for the year.
